Play it by Ear is the accompanying publication for Richard's solo show of the same name. It took place at Soma Contemporary Gallery, Waterford City, Ireland. The publication includes contributions from Dr. Declan Long (Director: MA Art in the Contemporary World at NCAD & Recent Turner Prize Panelist), Dr. Salomé Voegelin (Director: MA Sonic Art at LCC, London), Jacquelyn Johnson (Director: Soma Contemporary Gallery) and the Artist.

The Show itself was officially opened by Jenny Haughton ( Previous Public Art adviser to the Arts Council of Ireland and National Coordinator for Ireland's participation in the Venice Biennale) and closed with a gallery discussion with Sean Kissane (Curator of Exhibitions at IMMA).

PERIPHERIES 2014 was the annual multi-disciplinary exhibition of Contemporary Art hosted by the PERIPHERIES Centre for Creative Development, Gorey School of Art, Ireland.

The accompanying publication includes the work of a series of established Irish Artists as well as the work of internationally renowned artist Bill Viola.

It also features a range of critical texts from leading Irish and International writers including; Hilan Bensusan, Maria Coleman, Dr. Francis Halsall, Steven Shaviro and Salomé Voegelin.
